Chicago Mission Journey registration will open on March 5th!

We’ll take our 20th journey to Chicago this summer as we partner with Reborn Community Church and work alongside Pastor Jamie Thompson in Garfield Park! Spots are limited to just 85 students.
An application as well as deposit must be received to reserve a place on the trip!

 

COST & REGISTRATION

STUDENT COST: $575

  • Deposit: $175 (Required to secure spot)

Registration for our Chicago Mission Journey is done through Brentwood’s Focus Mission program. Cost includes transportation, lodging, fellowship activities, and all meals except those while traveling. All steps below must be completed for your student to attend.

  • Submit online registration form.
  • Pay $175 deposit to secure your spot.
  • Attend in-person training (details below)
  • Complete and submit online training & all required paperwork

*Please note: all money given to pay for your student’s trip is noted on the person’s giving year-end contribution statement.

ADULTS

Are you an adult interested in leading students in Chicago? We have a limited number of adult spots on this year’s trip, and are specifically in need of adults that feel comfortable driving a large passenger van to/from Chicago as well as around the city.

ADULT COST: $100

STUDENT TRAINING

All online training is REQUIRED & all 3 in person trainings are highly encouraged, 2 are REQUIRED. If a student can’t attend at least 2 sessions, students must talk to Abbie Johnson & Amy-Jo (all campuses).

– Training 1: JUNE 29 | ALL CAMPUSES @ the Brentwood Campus: 1:30-3:30 PM (Bring Your Own Lunch) | Hudson Hall

– Training 2: JULY 9 | ALL CAMPUSES @ the Brentwood Campus: 12:30-3:00PM (Bring Your Own Lunch) | Hudson Hall

–  Training 3: JULY 12 | ALL CAMPUSES @ the Brentwood Campus: 3:00-5:00 PM (No Food) | Hudson Hall

REQUIRED ONLINE TRAINING: Emails will be sent to participants in the coming weeks.

 

PARENT MEETING

We’ll go over important trip details, the week’s schedule, packing list, and more. This will also be an opportunity to make any final payments and submit all required paperwork before check-in on the day of departure. Please make plans to join us!

REQUIRED FORMS

Please complete and turn in the following forms to the Student Ministry office no later than the parent meeting on Sunday, July 9th.

REQUIRED FOR EACH STUDENT or LEADER:

  • 2023 DIGITAL Student Release Form (*if you have not been on a student ministry trip in 2023, you must submit a new release form for the calendar year)
    –or–
  • 2023 Adult Release Form 
      • *if you have not been on a student ministry trip in 2023, you must submit a new release form for the calendar year)

-AND-

  • A copy of your insurance card (this can be emailed to Anna Brackins-Gilmore at [email protected]).

OTHER FORMS:

  • 2023 Medication Form – if your student has medication. If needed, please print and turn in to the nurse at check-in on July 15.
  • 2023 EPIPEN Form – if your student has an EPIPEN is this form required. If needed, please print and turn in to the nurse at check-in on July 15.
  • 2023  DIGITAL Time Away – if your student will not be taking church provided transportation, and/or will be arriving late or leaving early from Chicago. *This form is due to student ministry office no later than Sunday, July 9*

We will be collecting paperwork on the following dates at the Brentwood Campus:

  • Sunday, June 9 | 2:15 PM – 3:00 PM | Hudson Hall (Parent Meeting) 

**Digital paperwork + payments can be submitted at any time to the Student Ministry office before July 9**

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you find you need to cancel, please notify Anna Brackins-Gilmore in the Student Ministry Office as soon as possible at 615-324-6126 or [email protected]. Before Sunday, July 9, you will receive a full refund. After July 9, the deposit is non-refundable (except in circumstances such as the death of a family member or physical illness – including COVID). This is due to trip costs already incurred.
