Lauren Jones

Preschool and Children's Minister

Lauren Jones serves as the Preschool and Children's Minister of The Church at Woodbine. She studied Advertising and Graphic Design at Western Kentucky University and for a while dreamed of using her degree to serve through a local non-profit or ministry. In her college years, she discovered Barefoot Republic Camp. Serving as a counselor at a multi-cultural camp opened her heart to people of all different ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. From 2016 to 2019, she took on a full-time role at the organization. This season deepened her love for diversity. She called The Church at Woodbine home for two years and volunteered her time in the elementary-age Sunday morning life group, before officially coming on staff. Over the years, Lauren has found her calling in children's ministry. She is excited to blend her creativity and experience into her role.

While born in Detroit, Michigan, Lauren spent several years in central Kentucky before moving farther south. Today, Lauren calls Cleveland Park in East Nashville home and spends much of her time mentoring kids and spending time with her neighbors. In her free time, you can find her hiking with her dogs, eating and cooking new foods, or kickboxing. She is also an avid reader (please feel free to share your favorite books) and enjoys pairing a good read with a great cup of coffee.
